Why Richardson drivers sell
Richardson covers a lot of ground — from the UT-Dallas campus area to the Telecom Corridor to the older neighborhoods down near Arapaho. Apartment complexes, family homes, and corporate campuses all feed into our weekly intake.
Richardson has two main seller types: tech-corridor professionals turning over cars every 2–3 years as their situations change, and long-term residents who've owned cars for a decade and are ready to cash in. Plus LLCs and small businesses shedding the pool car that no one drives anymore. Different profiles, one shared need: efficiency.
- ▸Tech company career change — upgrading or downgrading your vehicle
- ▸LLC or small-business pool car you're retiring
- ▸Fleet-return vehicle that came with a tracker or dashcam
- ▸Cars owned jointly with a co-worker or business partner
- ▸Relocation abroad for a new tech role
- ▸Crypto-purchased car you're ready to liquidate

“Company moved me to Singapore on short notice. I needed to sell fast. From quote to ACH was 32 hours total.”
“My LLC owned my consulting vehicle. They handled the business-title paperwork without blinking.”
“Paid me via ACH while I was still sitting in their office. Cleared by the time I got home.”
LLC-titled vehicles, fleet returns, and foreign-relocation timelines — all normal business for us. We don't treat edge cases like edge cases.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell a car owned by my LLC?
+
Can I sell a car owned by my LLC?
+Yes. We need the title in the LLC's name, your EIN or formation documents, and your personal ID as the authorized signer (member/manager). If there are multiple members, we may need a resolution or authorization letter. Send a photo of what you have and we'll confirm before the appointment.
Do you buy cars with installed dashcams or fleet telemetry?
+
Do you buy cars with installed dashcams or fleet telemetry?
+Yes. Installed hardware doesn't affect the offer — either you remove it before the appointment or we do it at the shop. Dashcams usually come off in 5 minutes; fleet telemetry may require cutting a wire, which we handle. If the equipment is a company asset, check with them before removing.
What about cars that were company-owned fleet vehicles?
+
What about cars that were company-owned fleet vehicles?
+If the title is now in your personal name after a fleet-to-individual buyout, we treat it like any other personal sale. If it's still owned by the company, the company has to sell it — we'd work with their contact directly and require business authorization paperwork.
Can I sell a car that has multiple owners on the title?
+
Can I sell a car that has multiple owners on the title?
+Depends on the 'and' vs 'or' on the title. 'Jane AND John' means both have to sign. 'Jane OR John' means either can sell alone. Send a photo of the title and we'll tell you which applies, and what notarized POA is required if one owner can't come in.
Do you buy cars used for test-driving at dealerships?
+
Do you buy cars used for test-driving at dealerships?
+Yes, these are usually called 'dealer demo' cars and they often have low miles but lots of small-damage history from test drives. The discount is typically 5–15% off what a comparable retail-use car would bring. Bring the dealer's demo paperwork if you have it.
If my tech startup provides car allowances — can I sell the car I bought with the allowance?
+
If my tech startup provides car allowances — can I sell the car I bought with the allowance?
+Yes. The allowance is just compensation; once the title is in your name, it's your car. Selling it doesn't affect your employer relationship (unless your allowance agreement says otherwise — check that document). We don't need any paperwork from your employer for a normal sale.
Do you buy cars purchased outright with cryptocurrency?
+
Do you buy cars purchased outright with cryptocurrency?
+Yes, as long as the resulting title is in your name in US dollars. The crypto origin of the purchase doesn't affect our process. We pay in traditional methods (check same day in USD); we don't accept or pay in crypto.
