Compramos CarrosDFW
Denton, TX

Denton has three kinds of sellers. Grads moving away, commuters changing jobs, and families cleaning out the driveway.

All three get the same process: firm number in chat, short drive to our DFW office, 45-minute appointment, payment before you're back in Denton. Built for people who don't have time to list on Craigslist.

  • One trip only

Why Denton drivers sell

From the UNT campus and the surrounding student rentals to the family neighborhoods near Robson Ranch, from the historic Denton square to the newer developments off the 35W, we buy from every part of the 76201–76210s.

Denton's sale patterns cycle with the academic calendar. UNT graduation brings a wave of students selling first cars before moving for jobs. Fall brings commuter vehicles that racked miles on the I-35 crawl to Dallas. Summer brings family SUVs being traded for something bigger. Different seasons, same operation.

  • Graduating from UNT and moving out of state for a job
  • Changed jobs from Dallas to Fort Worth (or vice versa) and the commuter isn't right anymore
  • Denton to Austin relocation (very common)
  • Parent's car you drove through college and now don't need
  • Truck used for ag/ranch work on the Denton County edges
  • Family outgrew the sedan

A Denton sale, told straight

It starts on WhatsApp

You send the VIN, mileage, and 2–3 photos. Most Denton sellers do this while they're between classes or on a work break. The response comes back fast — a specific dollar offer, not a range.

You pick a day that works

UNT-schedule friendly. Post-final-exam Saturdays. Evenings after work. Our DFW office address drops into your chat the moment you accept.

The appointment is short

45 minutes. Inspection, title sign-off, Texas DMV paperwork. Coffee if you want it. Staff speaks English and Spanish — your call.

You leave paid

Check in hand or ACH that clears the same day. Plates come off the car and go home with you — Texas plates belong to you, not the vehicle.

Denton sellers this semester

Graduated UNT in May, had a job in Atlanta starting July. Sold my car the week of graduation — didn't want to drive it across the country. Smooth.

Taylor R.
UNT · recent grad

Drove I-35 to Dallas for four years. The car showed it. They didn't pretend the wear wasn't there, just priced it honestly.

Greg M.
Forrestridge · ex-commuter

My dad's old Ranger was sitting in the driveway. We'd been putting it off for two years. Done in one visit.

Denton's seasonal patterns are baked into our process — we know when grad season hits and how to accommodate a move-out timeline. First-time sellers get patient explanation.

Frequently asked questions

I'm graduating UNT and need to sell before I move — can you fit that timeline?

+

Yes, and this is one of our most common scenarios. Tell us your move date when you quote. We can typically close within 48 hours of accepting an offer, sometimes same-day. We'll prioritize the appointment inside your move window.

My parents are on the title but I've been the driver for 4 years — do they need to come?

+

Your parents (as titled owners) need to sign. They can be present in person, or they can sign a notarized power of attorney authorizing you to sell. If they're in another state, the POA process takes a day or two but works cleanly.

What's the process for a Denton-to-Austin move car sale?

+

Same as any sale — we close in Denton/DFW before your move. Selling in DFW usually nets more than the Austin market, especially for trucks and common sedans, so doing it before you move works in your favor financially.

Can I sell a car that's been used for ag / ranch work on the Denton County edges?

+

Yes. Agricultural-use trucks often have specific wear patterns (reinforced suspension, gooseneck hitches, roll bars, custom beds). Most of that adds value, not subtracts. Send photos of any ag-specific modifications when you quote.

I drive for Uber Eats on the UNT campus — does that affect the offer?

+

Ride-share and delivery use adds miles and interior wear but doesn't block the sale. What matters more is whether you've kept up with maintenance. If you have oil-change receipts or service records from your delivery mileage, bring them — they can add $200–$500 to the offer.

What happens if I drive my car to the appointment and it breaks down on the way?

+

Rare, but has happened. Call us from where you break down and we'll dispatch a tow to the office, deduct the tow cost from your offer, and still complete the sale the same day. You wouldn't be stuck.

Do you buy cars that were rented long-term (like a monthly rental or car-share)?

+

If the title is now in your personal name after the rental company sold the car to you, yes — standard process. If it's still owned by the rental company, they have to sell directly. Bring the original sale documents from the rental company with the title.
