Why Garland drivers sell

Garland's mix shows up in our driveway every week — commuter sedans from Rowlett and South Garland, work trucks from the corridor off I-30, and the occasional inherited classic from one of the older neighborhoods near Walnut Creek. Every pocket of the 75040s is fair game.

A lot of Garland sales start the same way: a parent passed and left a car that's been parked in the driveway for a year, or a family outgrew the first sedan bought after moving to Firewheel, or a grown kid moved out and left behind the car they used through high school. None of those are quick to sell the traditional way. That's our lane.

  • Estate car from a deceased parent — you're the executor
  • First car bought in Garland that's now sitting at the curb
  • Inherited truck that you don't drive
  • Car that was part of a divorce settlement
  • Extra daily driver the household outgrew
  • Older vehicle that won't pass state inspection this cycle

Garland neighbors who closed recently

My mother-in-law passed and left us a car that hadn't moved in 14 months. Didn't want to deal with Craigslist strangers at the house. One appointment, done.

Got a number in maybe 12 minutes. Drove over after work. Walked out with a check. That's the experience.

After my divorce I had two cars and room for one. These guys took the second one fast — no questions, no judgment.

Estate cars, divorce-asset cars, and inherited vehicles are our bread and butter. We've seen every document wrinkle and we know which Texas DMV path applies.

Frequently asked questions

Do you buy cars from an estate during probate?

+

Yes, and this is common in Garland. If you're the executor, bring the death certificate, letters testamentary (or letters of administration), and the original title. The title may need to transfer into the estate's name first — we'll tell you before you come whether anything else is required from the probate court.

Do you buy cars where the title hasn't arrived yet from DMV?

+

If the car was recently purchased, Texas can take up to 30 days to mail the new title. In most cases we can still buy the car using the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin or the previous owner's title with a signed assignment — but we need to see what you have before confirming.

What if the previous owner never signed the title over to me?

+

This is a 'jumped title' situation and Texas has a specific process to clean it up — usually via a bonded title application or an affidavit from the previous owner. We can coach you through which documents you'll need, or refer you to a title service that can handle it.

Do you buy cars I won in a divorce settlement?

+

Yes, as long as the title is in your name (or the divorce decree transfers it to you and you have the court order). Bring the signed decree and the current title — if the ex-spouse is still on the title, you may need their signature too.

Can I sell if I'm on the title but my ex refuses to sign?

+

If both names are on the title with 'and' between them, you both need to sign. If the names are separated by 'or', either owner can sell alone. Texas DMV rules depend on the exact wording. Photograph the title and send it over — we'll confirm before you drive in.

Do you pay more if I drive the car to you myself versus arranging a tow?

+

Yes, because the tow cost comes off your final number. A drivable car gets the full offer; a non-running car gets the offer minus the tow fee we pay. If your car is borderline, it's worth trying to get it to us under its own power.

Do you buy cars with salvage-branded titles?

+

Yes, though salvage and rebuilt-salvage titles always sell for less than clean-title versions of the same car — typically 30–50% less, because the resale market for them is smaller. We'll give you an honest number based on comparable salvage sales, not a comp for a clean-title car.
